BUILD UP TO ELECTION 2019

It is certainly no news that the build up to the 2019 election has been….interesting at best. however it would be wise to view where we had gone wrong with the previous elections in order to make the forthcoming one a better election.

from the situation at ground, it will be obvious to state that the only two parties that stand the chance to win the presidential election are:

1. All Progressives Congress (APC)
2. Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)

In a democratic system of government that does not run on a two party system, this is quite bewildering, and the funny thing?, people don’t care. see the nation as a whole has been brainwashed into accepting whatever comes straight from the top as a somewhat suitable answer to all their problems, regardless of the fact that the same set of politicians who were in power and consumed the nations wealth while leaving us to fight for our daily bread, are the same ones who change parties when their former part loses the election.

such has played out this last few weeks, members of the house of assembly moving from the ruling APC to the opposition power PDP. The really big one that took the center stage was the migration of the Senate president from the ruling party to the opposition, this in turn carried the wave of migration through the whole house as the ruling party lost its majority power with the defections extending to the house members themselves.

With all these to look at, what’s the difference in the 2019 election?, its just the same people, shifting parties around to cause drama and fill their pockets with the national treasury.

Nigerians should wake up and realize that they are nothing but chess pieces on the table for the politicians to push about, it has to change, get your PVC and don’t get pushed in the majority, else we’ll find ourselves in the same old place, where we began, with the same set of politicians under a different banner and we’ll smile along as we go in the same merry-go-round.
